Why do cats seem to be attracted to people who are allergic to cats or don't like cats?
In
a room full of guests, it seems that the resident cat will mosey around
until he or she finds the lap of the person who least wants a visit! A
common theory for this behaviour centres on the independent lifestyle
cats choose to lead. Instead of being told where to go, a cat prefers
to select its own visiting spot, and if everyone else is calling and
cooing and reaching at the cat, the quiet and reluctant guest may seem
like a safe and quiet haven. Some pet owners insist that this behaviour
indicates that cats have a sense of humour, however, this attraction is
one of the many quirks of feline behaviour that is not fully understood.
