A Cat's Whiskers
Whiskers are not regular hairs, but highly developed sensory organs that should not be cut off or pulled out.
Certain breeds of cat are born with abnormal whiskers. These often
include the curl and rex coated cats and the hairless cat called the
Sphynx. Some cats have brittle whiskers that tend to break off leaving
an irregular appearance to the whisker set. If whiskers are pulled out,
they may grow back in an irregular fashion if the base is damaged.
Irregular whiskers are not a problem for the cat.
